Welcome to my website!
Debra Chalmers works as a medium passing on messages from loved ones to their families. Although Debra has had the gift for most of her life it was during her teen years that her gift became more active. She would see and hear spirit clearly.
Debra trained to be a nurse and qualified in 1999. She worked in medicine and cancer care and would often see spirit around, sometimes seeing a poorly patient's family waiting for them. Rather than being disturbed by this it was a great comfort to her.
As time went on Debra moved away from hands on nursing and into management all the while using her gift on an ad-hoc basis to give messages as and when.
It was in 2009 that the spirit world made it very clear that is was time for Debra to practise readings on a one to one basis. For the first couple of years this was done around Debra's demanding day job. Donations were given to charity. Following further guidance from spirit world Debra performed her first show in May 2011, which she delivered for free. The evening was an amazing success with many of the audience members gobsmacked. This would be the first of many successful evenings.
Debra has a scientific background with a first degree in Nursing and a Masters Degree in Public Health and as she states "I have gone from working in science to something that cannot be scientifically proven. But life is not black and white and we cannot see love but we feel it. My role is to connect the two worlds together - because in my opinion there is a door to the spirit world and that door to is always open. I now believe my career in nursing and managment was all preparation for the work I now carry out."
Finally Debra decided to leave her well-paid post in the NHS behind to pursue a role as a full time medium. Although there was a dramatic drop in salary she was doing something she had always dreamed of....helping people in the most profound way.
Since 2011 her success has been overwhelming and she is now preparing to go on tour - 'Seeing is Believing 2013' with nationwide tickets now on sale here on the website. She is currently writing her autobiography.
Debra also offers motivational guidance - "My philosophy is very much around striving to be positive - often this can be hard as for some people their natural default can be a negative stance, but it is my belief that negativity invites further negativity. Seeing is believing, believe in good things, believe in positivity and invite it right into your life. Take control of life and be your own driving force - if you do this then expect miracles...they do happen."
There are few more contentious roles than being a medium - peoples' views tend to be polarised as to whether they believe or not, with still others who are undecided. To those who don't believe or who are uncertain (and of course the believers!) Debra invites you to come to one of her shows and form your own opinion.
